Clooney, girlfriend hit his Italian love nest

George Clooney takes Stacy Keibler to his palatial estate where he's romanced past flames.
George Clooney's posh villa on Lake Como has been a popular vacation destination for many of his A-list friends and, most recently, his girlfriend Stacy Keibler.

Clooney and Keibler, who have been dating for nearly a year, have been spending time together at Villa Oleandra, the 22-room home the Academy Award winner purchased nearly a decade ago for $10 million. On Monday, they entertained some friends aboard Clooney's boat. Keibler, 32, made a great first mate — and looked very European and summery in a green-and-white pantsuit with a color-coordinated hat. Clooney, 51, was outfitted in light blue pants and a button-down shirt for the boat ride, bringing along his camera to snap some photos.

Throughout their relationship, Clooney and Keibler have made several trips to Cabo San Lucas, Mexico, including one last week, but this is reportedly the first time they've been in Lake Como together. Clooney has entertained several of his past lady loves at the palatial home, including Italian TV host Elisabetta Canalis as well as his ex-girlfriend-turned-friend Karen Duffy.

However, it's not just gal pals who have been welcomed inside the home, which Clooney tried to sell two years ago before changing his mind and taking it off the market. In 2004, the stars of his film "Ocean's Twelve" — including Matt Damon, Julia Roberts, Catherine Zeta-Jones, Don Cheadle, and Brad Pitt, who was traveling with his then- wife, Jennifer Aniston — holed up at the 18th-century waterfront villa while filming scenes for the heist movie. Then last year, Clooney invited his "The Ides of March" co-stars Marisa Tomei and Evan Rachel Wood for a visit. "He throws the gauntlet down: 'Are you guys gonna jump in the lake?'" Tomei said of her host while making an appearance on "Conan" last year. "We wound up all skinny dipping, let's just cut to the chase." Other showbiz friends who have spent time at Clooney's Italian abode include Rande Gerber and Cindy Crawford, who enjoy paddle boarding and jet-skiing while they're there, as well as Bono and his family.

On "Late Show With David Letterman" in October, Clooney revealed that he has hosted several newsmen, too, including Charlie Rose, David Gergen, and the late Walter Cronkite. When "the most trusted man in America" was visiting — at the age of 90! — Clooney pulled a prank on him, which resulted in Cronkite jumping in the lake. "He said, 'Do we dress for dinner?' and, of course, we don't, and I said, 'Yes' and there's about 15 of us," Clooney recounted. "So he came out in a navy jacket and captain's hat and we were all in robes at the table. He said something that I'm actually not allowed to repeat on television." While Cronkite went to change, "We all ran upstairs, changed, and put on suits," George said. "He came out in long shorts and walked by us and was like, 'B******s.' And he jumped in the lake."
