Author Santa Montefiore shared a touching tribute to her sister Tara Palmer-Tomkinson the day after her death.
The author posted a black and white photograph of the former “It Girl” online on Thursday afternoon.
Ms Montefiore shared the image on her Twitter and Instagram pages and wrote alongside it “My darling sister. I miss you.”
Ms Palmer-Tomkinson – Ms Montefiore’s younger sister – was found dead aged 45 at her London home on Wednesday just months after revealing she had been diagnosed with a brain tumour.
It emerged on Thursday that she was discovered by her cleaner who builders heard crying before she raised the alarm.
The Portugese cleaner, in her 30s, arrived at the flat at around 1.30pm and was heard sobbing by builders renovating the apartment below before she set of an alarm.
In November, Ms Palmer-Tomkinson said she was being treated for the non-malignant growth in her pituitary gland and had expressed fears that she would die after being told of her condition.
She was diagnosed with the tumour last January after she returned from a ski trip and was also suffering with an auto-immune disease which had caused tiredness, joint pain and acute anaemia.
Tributes have been pouring in for the socialite, who was a regular on the London party scene in the 1990s and 2000s.
Her close friends the Prince of Wales and the Duchess of Cornwall were among the first to pay tribute.
The royal couple said they were "deeply saddened and our thoughts are so much with the family" shortly after the news broke.
Her family declined to speak about her death on Thursday.
